Will.i.am has disclosed that a reunion of The Black Eyed Peas will happen soon enough, as well as a new album, even though the rapper is yet to determine when the reunion will happen, and whether or not all members will be engaged.
The band, together with the singer Fergie – who was joined by will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo – announced their break up in 2011.
They have since celebrated their 20th anniversary with “Yesterday”, a music video demonstrating honor to the hip-hop world that motivated the band, unveiled in July 2015. The video depicts all the members besides Fergie browsing through a record store, and ends with will.i.am apparently suggesting some plans, stating “to the future”.
Talking to Capital FM several days ago, will.i.am stated,
“There will be a Black Eyed Peas reunion. It breaks my heart that I even have to say that because, really, we should just always have been doing Black Eyed Peas, actually.”
The band’s latest album “The Beginning” was their least profitable since sophomore album “Bridging The Gap”, launched in 2000. The return will symbolize the band’s first new music after the 2010 release, even though two tracks used from the “The Beginning” album were launched at the beginning of 2011.
