Just after several weeks after calling upon a judge’s determination not to discharge Kesha from Dr. Luke’s purview, the pop star has distributed an upsetting message on social media about a supposed offer she got if she was prepared to cancel her accusations against the producer.
In a post on her official Instagram page, the star shared a surprising message that alleges factors of a possible classified deal concerning her right to record music on her own.
“So. I got offered my freedom if I were to lie,” published singer. “I would have to APOLOGIZE publicly and say that I never got raped. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS behind closed doors. I will not take back the TRUTH.”
Kesha does not talk about precisely whom the deal might be with and what the precise conditions would be other than those pointed out, yet the inference is quite evident to anyone who has observed the case.
“I would rather let the truth ruin my career than lie for a monster ever again,” Kesha went on.
The rape Kesha describes is at the main point of the case, as Kesha has offended Dr. Luke, the owner of Sony Music’s Kemosabe Records, to which she is named, of rape and abuse.
Formerly, a Manhattan Supreme Court judge decided that the pop star would have the ability to record music for Sony without the participation of Dr. Luke, yet the artist’s lawyer compared the agreement to “slavery.”
Kesha’s legal group is right now appealing the judgment that retains her in the Sony contract.
