“Matahdatah” is the new fifth studio album released by English electronic singer and songwriter M.I.A.. It’s planned to be launched later this year through Interscope Records.
The album shows up preceded by the advertising track “Matahdatah Scroll 01 Broader Than a Border“, which include such tracks as “Swords” and “Warrios“, launched on July 13th through Apple Music.
The singer has been operating on the studio with electronic maker Skrillex. “Borders“ was launched as the second single on November 20th.
M.I.A. has also worked together with Swedish clothing brand H&M to boost attention for World Recycle Week, an H&M project that stimulates consumers to recycle undesired clothing at H&M shops in exchange for shop credit. The track is named “Rewear It” and the music video was launched on April 8.
The star presented new two parts single “MIA OLA – FOREIGN FRIEND” on March 17. The track involves the formerly unreleased single Folla Foda, sampling The Lion King’s “Circle of Life” intro.
