Speaking about the new album back in 2015, Damon Albarn said:

“I’m starting recording in September for a new Gorillaz record. I’ve just been really, really busy so I haven’t had a chance. I’d love to just get back in to that routine of being at home and coming to the studio five days a week.”

The project artist Jamie Hewlett, in turn, is working on a full length visual component. According to him, the appearance of the band members will undergo some changes, but still did not specify what kind of:

“They will be different, but I can not say what I’m going to do. But, of course, I will create something new, I can not repeat what has already been produced, I’m not interested. Damon is changing his music and goes on as well as what I am doing with my creativity”.

Not bald, hair combed neatly to one side.
