Muse has canceled a live show in Istanbul, Turkey, because of the country’s takeover attempt within the weekend.
The rock band shared the news on its Twitter page on July 19 cancelling the July 26 concert. All those who bought tickets for the show will receive a full refund.
“We regret that in light of recent capricious events in Turkey, we have decided to cancel our concert which was scheduled to take place on July 26th…. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. We look forward to seeing our Turkish fans in the future,” the band wrote.
On Friday, a takeover was attempted in Turkey by a group within the Turkish Armed Forces to dump president Recep Tayyip Erdogan but it failed.
