Christina Aguilera and Nile Rodgers

Christina Aguilera is cooperating with Nile Rodgers for a new single named “Telepathy”. The single, which will be included to the Netflix’s coming hip-hop series “The Get Down” featuring Shameik Moore, Justice Smith and Jaden Smith, is identified as a 70s disco song.

Scheduled to be revealed through iTunes on August 12, “The Get Down: Original Soundtrack From The Netflix Original Series” is made up of 24 singles displaying Nas, Jaden, Zayn Malik, Miguel, Michael Kiwanuka, Leon Bridges, Raury and far more artists.

All fans can start to pre-order the album beginning August 5. Up to now just several songs were released, among them are Miguel’s “Cadillac” and Michael Kiwanuka’s “Black Man in a White World”, which is the main track from his album “Love & Hate”.

Main producer Baz Luhrmann has shared recently, “This album is an introduction to the many musical genres and styles that can be heard in ‘The Get Down’, which is really a story of New York in the late 70’s, an incredibly fertile time of creativity amid chaos. While our production is a musical that embodies many classic hits, we also use contemporary sounds and techniques connecting the dots between then and now. My great privilege is to have associated with such a diverse musical community.
