Ringo Starr recorded song for Day of Peace

Ringo Starr Day of Peace

The premiere of the song by Ringo Starr ‘Now the Time Has Come’ was held on September 21 – International Day of Peace. This holiday was established by the UN General Assembly in 2002 as a day of non-violence and cease-fire throughout the world.

Starr said:

“Making this record was incredibly personal for me. Against the backdrop of war or social unrest, I always turned to music as a refuge. I hope this record can offer people solace and inspire them to do all they can to bring peace to their communities.”

“I worked on this record with Peace & Love,” said Ringo. “It was a joy to be part of this project.”

Co-author and producer of the composition was by Bruce Sugar, vocals were recorded by Richard Page, Colin Hay and Billy Valentine, and backing singers were stars of social media Christian Collins, Maddi Jane, Casey McPherson and others. Ringo himself not only sang but also played the drums.

The clip, shot during the work in the studio, was posted on Starr’s Facebook page.
